Oncidium is a native of the Antilles, Central and South America. The chrysalis orchid is also called Oncidium because of the shape of its flowers.

     Keep the temperature within 15-25°C, and, preferably, the difference between day and night temperatures is 3-4°C.
     The substrate must dry completely between waterings, in dry hot weather - once a week, in cold rainy weather - once every 2 weeks.
     Replant only if necessary (the substrate is compacted, salted, the roots have grown).
