Beaucarnea / Nolina
Beaucarnea / Nolina (Nolina Michx.) is an unusual plant, with a thick trunk reminiscent of a horse’s tail, for which it was nicknamed that in England.
Another unusual name given to bokarna is Elephant's Foot.
A very unpretentious plant, fun and easy to care for.
She needs a bright place, not direct sun and very infrequent watering. The earthen lump should dry out completely between waterings; the plant, originally from Mexico, tolerates long droughts well, since the water reserves in the plant trunk feed it for a month.
The plant should be replanted into the next pot in size; the feeding is universal and does not require spraying.
A plant for the office, looks good as a stand-alone plant, small specimens look great on the windowsill, large ones on the floor.
A plant with very good energy, purifies the air.
Lighting: Bright, not direct sun.
Watering: Very moderate, 1-2 times a month.
